Next Steps

Invitation to

Engage

Welcome to Christ’s Community Church! Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a longtime member, we believe that following Jesus is a journey best taken with others. Your next step—whether it’s joining a small group, finding a place to serve, or making a deeper commitment through baptism and membership—is the most important one.

We are committed to helping you get plugged in, grow in your faith, and discover how God has uniquely equipped you to serve His Kingdom right here in our community. Explore the pathways below and find your place in the Christ’s Community Church family!

Join a

Group

Deepening your relationship with God happens best in community. Small groups, like Bible studies, are essential ways to connect with others, share life, and grow through the study of Scripture.

Ready to connect? Visit our “Connect” page for more details on when and where our small groups and classes meet.

Sunday Small Groups

Our Small Groups meet every Sunday morning to study the Bible in a small group setting.

Wednesday Small Groups

We offer various Small Group classes that are usually time specific; for example a women’s study around a specific book for 6 to 12 weeks.

Vintage Saints

For our more “experienced” members, we meet once a month to share a meal and hear a devotion.

Students & Kids Groups

Dedicated groups and classes are available to help our younger generations connect and grow.

Celebrate Recovery

This is a Christ-centered, 12 step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, pain or addiction of any kind. Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to find community and freedom from the issues that are controlling our life. A meal is served afterwards and childcare is provided.

Serve in a

Ministry

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations – Matthew 28:19

At Christ’s Community we believe God has created you with unique skills, talents, and passions and we want to find the best fit for you. One of the most powerful “Next Steps” is to move from observer to participant by serving others. When you volunteer, you not only make a difference in the life of the church but also discover the unique gifts God has given you.

We have countless opportunities to serve, including:

Worship

Helping lead worship using your musical skills, whether that is your voice or a musical instrument, cameras, lyrics, lights and sound.

Kids4Christ

Helping our children learn and grow in their faith during services.

Nursery

Rocking babies and entertaining toddlers while mom and dad can enjoy the service.

Food Service

Helping in the kitchen by serving snacks and coffee before service, helping minister to families after funerals by preparing and/or serving a meal, or serving at other events.

Community Missions Team

Participating in “Be the Church” and other local outreach events to serve our neighbors.

Greeting Team

Welcoming visitors and members with a friendly face on Sunday mornings.

Event Support

Helping in many capacities at various church events, such as set-up and take down.

Take your next step and find a place to use your gifts.
Just complete the form below and a church leader will follow-up with you as soon as possible.

Baptism &

Membership

These two steps represent a public commitment to Jesus Christ and to the Christ’s Community Church family.

Baptism

We believe baptism is a beautiful, outward expression of an inward commitment to Christ. To take this significant step, please call the church at (225) 572-2180 to speak with the pastor and schedule your baptism.

Membership

Becoming a member means committing to the church’s mission and family. To join, simply listen for announcements of our upcoming “New Member” meeting. At this event, you will enjoy a delicious lunch and then participate in a Q&A session with the pastor in the sanctuary, where you’ll learn all about our vision, mission, and how to get officially plugged in.

Upcoming

Events

Stay connected with the life of Christ’s Community Church through our church-wide activities! This section is updated frequently to reflect our current schedule.

Starting Oct 12th and running through Nov 23, bring a different food item each week to fill a laundry basket.  These will be distributed to needy families in time for them to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.

Fall Fest

A fun-filled family event for the whole community on Wednesday, October 29th from 6 – 7:30. Worship and a message followed by lots of fun and snacks.
